CRITICAL ACCLAIM...
ABOUT GARY ALDRICH

Fourteen solo performances at Avery Fisher Hall at New York’s prestigious Lincoln Center. Dozens at Washington D.C.’s illustrious Kennedy Center. Performances with the Empire State Institute for the Performing Arts, Moscow Music Theatre, the Théàtre des Enfants in Lyon, France, the Sterling Theatre in London, and leading roles with opera companies and symphonies throughout the United States and Canada, Russia and the Middle East. The world premiere of Dana Gioia/Alva Henderson’s Winter Requiem in San Francisco... The American premiere of Philippe Manoury’s 60th Parallel under the baton of Kent Nagano... He made his debut at CARNEGIE HALL in the title role of Die Fledermaus.

GARY ALDRICH is equally at home in concert, opera, oratorio, and musical theater. A consummate cross-over singer, he moved from New York to Nevada in 2000 to teach voice at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he taught until 2014.  He still maintains an active singing and teaching career.

GARY ALDRICH
VOCAL ARTS STUDIO

I am a supportive, encouraging teacher with more than 40 years of teaching experience. I use a bel canto breath and speech-based technique. I am open to most styles of music but ask that students work on some classical repertoire to help in building their voices.

Except in extraordinary circumstances, my teaching is limited to adult (16+) singers

THE MISSION: As a private voice teacher, my responsibilities are: to provide musical education, challenges and individual performance opportunities for those many adults who are busy in their individual careers but who have an intense interest and latent talent in singing; and to develop in those singers an appreciation for ALL styles of vocal music.

with some experience and/or ability. I do not teach beginners unless specific arrangements have been made.

NOTICES AND SCHEDULES

GARY ALDRICH was Bass Soloist with the Tahoe Symphony and Chorus in April 2019 in their presentation of JSBach's masterpiece "THE SAINT MATTHEW PASSION."  I am happy and privileged to be able to sing this magnificent music with passionate professional artists whose work I admire and who seem to value what I do as well.
